Jerry "The King" Lawler def. Bret Hart (dq)
Lawler came to the ring on crutches, claiming having been injured in a car crash, and therefore sent Doink as replacement. Hart won that match on a sharpshooter, and then the "King" threw his crutches and came into the ring. King left, but Jack Tunney told him he would be banned for life if he did not battle Hart. 29/23/30/Lex Luger /Bret "Hitman" Hart [27]
The ending was quite spectacular when apparently both Lex Luger and Bret Hart landed on the floor simultaneously. None of the three camera angles were able to shed some light over it.
Referee Joe Morella told Howard "The Fink" Finkel that Lex Luger had won, and it was announced over the loudspeakers, and his music was played. But then it stopped, and referee Earl Hebner told him that Bret "Hitman" Hart had won and that was announced. But then again the music was stopped, and WWF President Jack Tunney approached the square circle. He told something to "The Fink" and he announced "The Winner of the 1994 WWF Royal rumble...", and he stopped, and asked him again. Then he tried for a fourth time, and finally he announced "The Winner of the 1994 WWF Royal Rumble... The winners are Lex Luger and Bret "Hitman" Hart", and the Royal Rumble theme music was played.

Other scheduled participants for the Royal Rumble:
Kamala, 1-2-3-Kid, Bastion Booger, Ludvig Borga

WrestleMania X

Owen suceeded to stop a "victory roll" from the Hitman, and turned it into a small package.

"Mixed" Tag Team Match:
Bam Bam Bigelow & Luna Vachon def. Doink & Dink
A really mysterious tag team match, where we saw Dink vs. Luna Vachon...

Falls count anywhere in the building match:
(After a pin, the loser had 60 seconds to return to the ring)
"Macho Man" Randy Savage def. Crush
Macho Man pinned Crush outside the main hall, and hung him up in some lines, from where Crush could not return to the ring.

WWF Women Championship Match:
Alundra Blayze (ch) def. Leilani Kai
Very good wrestling from both ladies, but lots of bodyslams using the hair.

WWF Tag Team Championship Match:
Men On A Mission def. Quebecers (ch) (c-o)
Men On A Mission won by the means of a countout, but they took the belts, although you cannot win on a countout.

1st WWF Championship Match:
Yokozuna (ch) (568lbs...) def. Lex Luger (dq)
Guest referee: Mr. Perfect
Lex Luger had Yokozuna in "pin" position, but Perfect did not count, he saw it, but he turned over to Mr.Cornette (spokesperson for Yokozuna), who Lex had bodyslammed in the ring. Lex Luger tried to get Perfect's attention, but he turned to Mr.Fuji (Yokozuna's manager), and Lex again tried to get his attention, but then he got disqualified.

Earthquake def. Adam Bomb
This match must have been WM10's longest one, it lasted for two minutes...

WWF Intercontinental Championship Match, Ladder Match:
Razor Ramon (ch) def. Shawn Michaels
This was a ladder match, with Razors I.C belt, and Shawn's old I.C belt suspended over the ring. The only way to win was to get the ladder into the ring, and climb up and take the belts. Easier said than done.

2nd WWF Championship Match:
Bret Hart def. Yokozuna (ch)
Guest referee: "Hot Rod" Rowdy Roddy Piper
The Hitman was set up for a banzai drop, but sat up just as the champion was about to do his work. Hitman then could successfully pin him.

The Final: After a mixture of power-wrestling and good technical wrestling, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhard comes to the ring, trying to help Razor Ramon, who was thrown out of the ring... Or at least so everyone thought, he started beating Razor Ramon, and threw him back into the ring so that Owen Hart could have an easy win. At the coronation, he "proclamed" that he from this day forward should be called "The King Of Harts".
WWF Championship match: (match 5)
Diesel (ic) def. Bret "Hitman" Hart (ch) (disqualification -- outside interference)
Bret "Hitman" Hart come to the ring with his mysterious family member, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart (his brother-in-law), and it is because of him that he lost the match, since he wanted to get even on Diesel when he with the help of Shawn Michaels had attacked Bret "Hitman" Hart illegaly. Although, no titles change owner on disqualification.

WWF Tag Team Championship match: (match 8)
Heashrinkers (ch) def. Yokozuna & Crush
Crush was pinned after he lost concentration, since Lex Luger had came down to beside the ring to "take a look at the situation". Yokozuna tried to stop the pin, but he was a bit to late.

(match 10): "Hot Rod" Rowdy Roddy Piper def. Jerry "The King" Lawler
After having been covered, illegally, by Jerry Lawler, Roddy Piper's new friend, who Lawler had introduced as Roddy Piper on his show to make him look like a wimp, threw him off and Piper could just barely cover Lawler for the win.

Jeff Jarrett def. Mabel

WWF Championship Match: Steel Cage Match:
Bret "Hitman" Hart def. "King Of Harts" Owen Hart
After the match, Owen's, and Bret's, brother-in-law, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart interfered, sending Bret back into the ring. All(?) of the Hart brothers and another brother-in-law, "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith came to his rescue.

Main Event:
Paul Bearer's Undertaker def. Ted DiBiase's (fake) Undertaker
Quite an interesting match-up, where Ted DiBiase introduced "his" Undertaker as "the one and only", and Paul Bearer's was introduced the same way... Paul Bearer brought in a casket with an urn, with which he brought the "real" Undertaker in. The "Undertakers" had quite similar wrestling styles, but it was an interesting match, but not hard to figure out who should win.

Goldust def. "Wild Man" Marc Mero
Goldust won after Marlena had distracted the referee when Mero had Goldust down for a pin. After the match, Goldust was making advances towards Mero's "manager" Sable, and was then attacked by Mero

Jerry "The King" Lawler def. Jake "The Snake" Roberts
Lawler pinned Roberts after hitting him over the head with a liquor bottle. After the match he tried to get Roberts, who recently had recovered from his alcoholism, to drink from the bottle, but the guest commentator Mike Henry intervened and chased Lawler away

Boiler room brawl, in the basement:
Mankind def. The Undertaker
The object of the match was to get back up to the ring and get the urn from Paul Bearer, who was stationed in the ring. When they got there, Paul Bearer, The Undertaker's manager, first turned his back on The Undertaker, and then hit him with the urn, helping Mankind to win. He then followed Mankind out of the arena

WWF championship match:
Shawn Michaels (ch) def. Vader
Vader first won over Shawn by a count-out, but Vader's manager Jim Cornette talked Shawn into continuing the match. Vader then again won, this time by a disqualification when Shawn grabbed Cornette's tennis racket and hit Vader, but again Cornette didn't want it to end that way, and the match was restarted. After Vader missing a moonsault, Shawn got Vader with one, and won by a pinfall

Survivor Series 1996
96-11-17, Madison Square Garden, New York City, USA
[Doug Furnas, Philip Lafon, Henry Godwinn & Phileas Godwinn] def. [British Bulldog, Owen Hart, Marty Janetty & Leaf Cassidy]
Eliminated in order: Marty Janetty (by Henry Godwinn), Henry Godwinn (by Owen Hart), Phileas Godwinn (by British Bulldog), Leaf Cassidy (by Philip Lafon), British Bulldog (by Philip Lafon), Owen Hart (by Doug Furnas)

The Undertaker def. Mankind
Mankind's manager, Paul Bearer, was placed in a cage above the ring, to keep him from interfering in the match. The Undertaker made a spectacular entrance, "flying" from the down to ring, dressed as somewhat as Batman. The Undertaker managed to win the match with a tombstone, after a lengthy "amendable claw" from Mankind. The Undertaker then went to attack Paul Bearer (who had now been let out of the cage), but was attacked by The Executioner.

["Wild Man" Marc Mero, "The Stalker" Barry Windham, Rocky Maiva & Jake "The Snake" Roberts] def. [Crush, Jerry "The King" Lawler, Goldust, Hunter Hearst Helmsley]
Eliminated in order: Jerry Lawler (by Jake Roberts), The Stalker (by Goldust), Hearst Helmsley (by Marc Mero), Marc Mero (by Crush), Jake Roberts (by Crush), Crush (by Rocky Maiva), Goldust (by Rocky Maiva)

Bret "Hit Man" Hart def. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
After a lengthy, even, match, Bret Hart, who had returned from a six months' pause, won.

[Farooq, "Razor Ramon", "Diesel", Vader] vs. [Savio Vega, Yokozuna, Flash Funk, Mystery partner: "Superfly" Jimi Snuka]
Eliminated in order: Savio Vega (by "Diesel"), "Razor Ramon" (by Superfly). A bit later, both teams were disqualified for attacking each other with chairs outside the ring.

WWF Championship Match:
Sycho Sid def. Shawn Michaels (ch)
In this match between the two former friends, to some surprise, the audience seemed to cheer more toward Sid than to Shawn. At moments, Shawn was even boo'ed out! The match consisted of tiresome power wrestling, with Sid in control most of the time. Outside the ring, Sid attacked Shawn's manager, Jose Lothario, with a TV camera. When Shawn tried to help him, Sid attacked him too, with the camera. Sid then won after a power bomb.

In Your House XII
96-12-15
Rocky Maiva def. Salvatore Sincere
Rocky Maivia won with a shoulderbreaker. Once again Jim Cornette comes up short in his quest to get back at Rocky for refusing to let him manage his career.

Flash Funk def. Leif Cassidy
Two former ECW stars opened the IYH PPV when Leif Cassidy went up against Flash Funk. Cassidy showed that he can work well without Marty performing not one but two planchas, one over the top rope and another from the top of the turnbuckle. Funk performed the usual aerial tactics and also went for his signature 2 Cold manuever (Shooting Star Press) from the top rope and got the win.

Tag Team Championship Match:
Owen Hart & British Bulldog (ch) def. "Razor Ramon" & "Diesel"
It seemed that Davey Boy didn't have his mind set during their title match against Razor/Diesel. Davey Boy had his mind on Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Champions were distracted by not only Cibernetico and Pierroth from AAA but also when Stone Cold came out to ringside and was met by the Bulldog. They started slugging it out until Austin was led back to the dressing room by the officials.
Owen and the British Bulldog won, then Davey Boy was clipped by Steve Austin when he came back into the ring and Owen Hart didn't do anything to help his partner.

Vince McMahon then announced the return of Ahmed Johnson who said that Ahmed will meet Farooq in January at the Royal Rumble. Ahmed said on account of what happened between him and Farooq that he lost everything that was dear to him. Then all of a sudden Farooq and the NOD made a surprise appearance and Farooq called his enemy an "Uncle Tom." He finished by saying he was going to make an example of Johnson "by any means necessary."

Intercontinental Championship Match:
Hunter Hearst Helmsley (ch) def. "Wildman" Marc Mero
Most of the action would have been appreciated if the satellite signal wasn't as screwed up as it was during the match. It seemed that Hunter was doing his best to get himself disqualified, but the ref was having no part of it whatsoever. Prior to the match there was some kind of confrontation between Hunter and Marlena, and that brought out Goldust who accidently knocked out Wildman Marc Mero while attempting to knock out Hunter. Wildman won by a countout.

Undertaker def. Executioner
The Armegeddon Rules match literally turned into a handicapped bout that almost brought the house down when Mankind interfered. The match went from the ring to the house built on the set. Then all of a sudden, security came to ringside and maced Mankind and put him in a strait jacket. Then Undertaker and the Executioner fought outside the arena and UT made his way back and systematically attacked Mankind. He beat him back to the dressing room, and then got the Executioner in the Tombstone inside the squared circle and pinned him for the win.

WWF Championship Match:
Sycho Sid (ch) def. Bret "Hit Man" Hart
From the ringing of the bell, Bret tried to fight Sid's fight by slugging the champ from behind. Bret made a mistake by trying to fight Sid style instead of wrestling him. Shawn Michaels was doing co-commentary and was making references to how much of a role model Bret was claiming to be.
It was classic with Bret Hart working on Sid like a textbook wrestler. Out came Stone Cold Steve Austin who knee clipped the Hitman and that brought out Davey Boy Smith and the WWF officials. Then throughout the melee, both individuals wound up in front of Shawn Michaels at the announcing table and in similar fashion to when Diesel fought Shawn Michaels and Bret was at ringside, Sid shoved Shawn to provoke him. Then Shawn got on top of the ring apron as Sid whipped Bret into the rope, and Shawn went flying off the ring onto the ground, costing Bret the match. Sid got Bret in the Powerbomb and won the opportunity to face Shawn Michaels in January at the Royal Rumble. Hart then took out his frustration on HBK, kicking him to the ground.

Royal Rumble 1997
1997-01-21, Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas, USA
Intercontinental championship:
Hunter Hearst Helmsley (ch) def. Goldust
Much wrestling took place outside the ring in this powerwrestling match. Goldust knocked Hunter with the IC belt that Hunter had got into the ring, but only got a two count. Hunter could eventually win the match with a pedigree

Ahmed Johnson def. Faarooq (DQ)
Farooq tried a lot of illegal moves, for one thing he brought a whip inside the ring, but Ahmed got it. The disqualification of Farooq was because of his gang, Nation of Domination, coming in and starting messing around with Ahmed

Vader def. Undertaker
Undertaker showed a lot of strength, even surviving a Vaderbomb in the earlier part of the match. Later, Paul Bearer showed up, and when Undertaker was about to attack Paul Bearer, Vader got in between and Bearer could hit the Undertaker with the urn. Vader won the match with yet another Vaderbomb, and then Vader and Bearer left the ring together. The Undertaker chokeslammed the referee after the match, thinking that he should have seen Bearer's outside interference

AAA Six man tagteam match:
Perro Aguayo, Canek & Hector Garza def. Fuerza Guerrera, Heavy Metal & Jerry Estrada
As always, the mexican wrestlers gave a great show of technical and acrobatic wrestling, even though it had a bit too much powerwrestling to really show the Mexicans' superiority in the sport. Even though the match was most entertaining, the audience seemed very uninterested about it

Would-be-winner:
30/18/30/Bret "Hit Man" Hart /Steve Austin [5]
However, since the referees didn't see Steve Austin being thrown out of the ring (they had their hands full with getting Mankind out), he was judged as the winner, and was to be given a title shot at Wrestlemania XIII. However, instead of that, a "final four" match was setup at In Your House XIII.
World Wrestling Federation Championship Match:
Shawn Michaels def. Sycho Sid (ch)
This was a psychological match with much powerwrestling. Sid had the advantage in the beginning, where he tried to tire Shawn. Shawn came back with air manoveurs, which however were stopped by Sid. When Shawn tried to apply his special move, the "sweet chin music", Sid could stop that too, reversing it into a powerbomb, after which he (again) went for Shawn's manager, Jose Lothario. Shawn stopped him though. Later on, Sid managed to get the referee unconcious, by slamming him with Shawn. He then covered Shawn, but the new referee that came running to the ring only counted to two. Shawn then gave Sid the same treatment he got at Survivor Series '96, that is, he slammed him with a TV camera. Shawn could then, after another "sweet chin music", get a slow pinfall by the newly awakened referee.

WWF European Championship
1997-02-2? (televised 1997-03-01), Deutschlandhalle, Berlin, Brandenburg, Germany
Salvatore Sincere def. Alex "The Pug" Porteau
The opening bout was a bit boring at start, with both men desperately tring to get the other one to submit to a pin. Sincere could finally get a pin fall after having Porteau in a Full Nelson.

Between these two matches, German ring-announcer and commentator Carsten Schaeffer, with help of Billy Gunn, awarded a lucky winner with a DF1 digital receiver for the combined DSF/DF1 competition that had run through the Deutschland Xpress Tour.

Doug Furnas & Philip Lafon def. Bob "Spark Plugg" Holly & "Man-O-War" Aldo Montoya
This match was a true display of sportmanship from both teams. It was also a display of power wrestling (as often is with the American wrestling in general). Furnas and Lafon won after a Half Nelson followed by a slam.

Here The Honky Tonk Man arrived, apparently helping out in the American commentator position.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley def. Bret Hart (dq)
The audience was definitely on Bret's side, he's said that his German fans are the best, and it seems like that. After a slow start, it showed up to be a match in which Bret seemlingly wanted to injure Hunter, working on his leg, for example with a Figure 4 leglock around the ring post. The match ended when Bret had Hunter hanging up-side-down from the ring ropes, and the referee (Earl Hebner) told him to let Hunter go. Bret then pushed the referee away, which costed him a disqualification.

Intercontinental championship:
Rocky Maivia (ch) def. Vader (dq)
Even though Vader certainly knew how to throw his weight around, the match was suprisingly even. Vader tried many of his powermoves, but could not get Rocky pinned. In the end, Rocky wanted to end the match with a flying cross-body, but didn't get a pin position. Mankind then entered the ring, and hit Rocky with the urn, which got Vader disqualified.

In the pause that now followed, we were informed about the most recent developments in the WWF championship ranks. In the arena, one could hear that through the commentators' microphones, Honky Tonk Man singed (or whatever).

WWF championship:
Sycho Sid (ch) def. Mankind
Mankind showed one of his interesting talents, when he gave an interview in German before the match. There, he said that all WWF stars were in "Lebensgefahr" (danger of life), and that "ich bin kein Mensch, ich bin Mankind" (I'm not a human, I'm Mankind). This slow powerwrestling match showed a lot of action outside the ring. Even though Mankind was booed at by the audience, he got the advantage when he applied the Mandable Claw to Sycho Sid, but Sid, in a display of great strength, could get out of it. Sid won the match with a powerbomb.

Ahmed Johnson was interviewed by Carsten Schaefer, and being asked if he would accept Farooq's challenge for a match at WrestleMania XIII. Ahmed accepted, dedicating the match to his German fans, but he said that this time, he wouldn't be alone.

The Sultan def. Flash Funk
Flash Funk showed off his great techniques, but The Sultan got the advantage with his powermoves. The Sultan won after turning a headscissors into a camel clutch.

Ahmed Johnson def. Leif Cassidy
Ahmed won the match on a piledriver, followed by a spinebuster, a pearl river plunge and then the pin.

WWF European championship final:
British Bulldog (tag ch) def. Owen Hart (tag ch)
The championship final was interesting, since it was between the two tag team champions. British Bulldog was, not unexpectedly, the audience's favourite, but there were a number of Owen fans too. Since they have been wrestling as a tag team, they knew each other's style quite well, which made it a technical match. The Bulldog showed an impressive bow & arrow on Owen. You could see that they were friends, since they didn't do any foul moves, except when Owen faked a leg injury, which made Bulldog quite angry. There were a lot of pin attempts from both wrestlers, Owen applied a sharpshooter on Bulldog, but he got to the ropes, so Owen had to let go. Bulldog won the match on a victory roll, which made him the first ever WWF European champion. Even though there were some heated feelings in the interview that followed, it seems as if they're still friends.

WWF Wrestlemania XIII
Horizon, Chicago, Illinois, USA
Four team tag elimination match:
Headbangers def. Godwinns, New Blackjacks, Doug Furnas / Phil LaFon
As always with matches with more than two teams, it was a bit messed up at times, but even with that, the Furnas/LaFon team could show off their good wrestling technique. First elimination was a double countout of the New Blackjacks and the Furnas/LaFon team after some brawling outside the ring. The match ended when Headbanger Mosh pinned Phileas Godwinn after a frog splash.

Intercontinental championship:
Rocky Maivia (ch) def. Sultan
This match contained of mostly boring power wrestling, where Sultan dominated most of the match. Rocky managed to get a pinfall over Sultan nevertheless. After the match, Rocky was interviewed, when the Sultan attacked him from behind. Rocky Johnson, the father of Rocky Maivia, entered the ring and defended Rocky.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley def. Goldust
It was an even match with a certain amount of foul play in it. The audience was clearly on Goldust's side. Hunter Hearst Helmsley won the match after a pedigree on Goldust, when he tried to protect Marlena from Helmsley's "manager" Chyna.

Tagteam championship:
Owen Hart & British Bulldog (ch) vs. Vader & Mankind (2xCO)
Owen and Bulldog seemed to have gotten past their personal differences they had after their match for the European Championship. There was a lot of action outside the ring, where, for example, Vader attacked Bulldog with the urn. The match ended in a double countout after Mankind and Bulldog jumped out of the ring while Mankind had a mandible claw applied.

Submission match:
Guest referee: Ken Shamrock (of UFC "shooting")
Bret "Hitman" Hart def. Stonecold Steve Austin
This match was at top speed from the beginning, but it was more a brawl than a wrestling match, with both wrestling resorting to ugly tactics. At some times they were even wrestling out among the audience... Bret Hard worked much on Austin's bad leg, but Austin didn't submit even though he was in pain. The match ended after Bret hitting Austin with the ring gong, after Austin tried to choke him with the microphone cables. Bret got Austin into a sharpshooter, which rendered Austin unconcious. Even though him winning the match, Bret continued attacking Austin, but referee Shamrock stopped him with a belly-to-belly. After waking up, Austin applied a stone-cold stunner to Shamrock.

Chicago street fight:
Legion of Doom & Ahmed Johnson def. Nation of Domination (Farooq, Crush & Savio Vega)
Since this was a Chicago street fight, foreign objects were allowed inside the ring (and outside), and much was used, like, for instance, the french-canadian commentators' table. Crush covered Hawk for the win, after hitting him with a piece of plank.

Championship match:
Undertaker def. Sycho Sid (ch)
Bret Hart came into the ring and started humiliating the injured Shawn Michaels who was a commentator, and then continued with Undertaker and Sycho Sid. He said that the title should be his. Sid powerbombed him and called him a cry-baby, and then Undertaker started the real match by attacking Sid from behind.
Much action took place outside the ring, for example when the Undertaker was slammed against the mexican commentators' table. Both wrestlers tried to get a quick victory, but none succeeded. Sid almost won the match with a tombstone(!) on Undertaker. Hart once again entered the ring, fighting Sid, which made it possible for Undertaker to win the match.

Summerslam 1997
East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA
Steel-cage match:
Mankind def. Hunter Hearst Helmsley
Chyna stopped Mankind from coming out, knocked the referee, and threw in a chair for Hunter to use, but Mankind used it against Hunter, and catapulted him against Chyna who was outside the cage. Mankind then climbed out, almost, but climbed back in and performed an elbow drop from the cage top. Then he climbed out and won the match, even though Chyna attempted to pull Hunter out of the ring. Instead of the Mankind music, the Dude Love (Mankind's alter ego) was played, which made him appear as a totally different person.

When the officials finally got him to let go of it, he began to do belly-to-belly:s on the officials.

Los Boricuas (Savio Vega, José Estrada, Miguel Perez, Jesus [?]) vs. Desciples of the apocalypese (Crush, Skull, Eighth ball, Chains) (no contest)
A high pace match, with Los Boricuas taggin in and out very often. A bit into the match, the third team, Nation of domination, lead by Farooq and Ahmed Johnson, showed up, and made the match and in a general brawl between the three groups.

Intercontinental championship:
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin (tag ch) def. Owen Hart (ch)
Stipulation: If Stone Cold did not win, he would kiss Owen's ass. This end of this match was the on of the worst I've seen. After Owen had beaten Stone Cold to a certain pinfall, he instead walked around doing nothing at all, and after a while, Stone Cold rolled him into a pin situation, which would have been extremely easy for Owen to get out of, if he just had wanted to.

Championship match: Guest referee: Shawn Michaels:
Bret "Hit Man" Hart def. Undertaker (ch)
Stipulation: If Hit Man did not win the title, he would not wrestle in the US again. In the match that everybody knew who would win, ww saw a lot of pin and submission attempts from both sides. The obvious ending came when Shawn by mistake had knocked the Undertaker with the chair he had found Bret taking into the ring. Shawn Michaels was planning on hitting Bret with it, since he refused to confirm that he had taken it into the ring while Shawn was knocked outside the ring, and also spit Shawn in the face.

Truth Commission [Chains, Recon, Sniper & Jackal?] def. Disciples of Apocalypse [Chains, Skull, 8-ball & Crush]
Eliminated in order: Chains (pin by Interrogator), Jackal(?) (pin by Skull), Recon (pin by Skull), Skull (pin by Interrogator), 8-ball (pin by Interrogator), Sniper (pin by Crush), Crush (pin by Interrogator)

Team Canade [British Buldog, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Doug Furnas & Phil LaFon] def. Team USA [Vader, Goldust, Marc Mero & Steve Blackman]
Eliminated in order: Blackman (countout), Anvil (pin by Vader), LaFon (pin by Vader), Mero (pin by Furnas), Goldust (countout), Furnas (pin by Vader), Vader (pin by Bulldog)
This was interesting, since the only Canadian on Team Canada was Phil LaFon, but it still was quite an interesting match, with Goldust being counted out because he refused to get into the wring and wrestle, claiming to have a broken arm. Team Canada won the match when Bulldog put Vader out by hitting him with the ring announcer's bell

Kane def. Mankind
Kane seemed to be even more resistent to wrestling moves than the undertaker is. Kane won over Mankind by pinning him after a tombstone

[Ken Shamrock, Ahmed Johnson & Legion of Doom (Hawk & Animal) (tag ch)] def. Nation of Dominaton [Farooq, Kama, D'Lo Brown & Rocky Maivia]
Eliminated in order: Hawk (pin by Rocky), Farooq (pin by Ahmed), Ahmed (pin by Rocky), Kama (pin by Animal), Animal (countout), D'Lo Brown (submission by Shamrock), Rocky Maivia (submission by Shamrok)
Badass and Roaddog came down to ringside and disturbed Legion of Doom, enough to get Animal counted out

Intercontinental Championship:
Stone Cold Steve Austin def. Owen Hart (ch)
This match ended in a quick pin for Steve

Championship match:
Shawn Michaels def. Bret "Hit Man" Hart (ch)
It took several minutes for this match to officially start, because Bret and Shawn brawled outside the ring for quite a while. Shawn won the match on submission, he applied a sharpshooter to Bret Hart after managing to reverse a figure-four leglock

6 man tag mini match, Special guest referee Sunny:
Max Mini, Nova & Mosaic def. Battallion, Tarantula & El Torito
A very fast paced match. Max Mini pinned El torito with a cradle.

Intercontinental match:
Rocky Maivia (ch) def. Ken Shamrock
The match went back and forth until Rocky used a pair of "knucks" on Shamrock. He then put the "knucks" in Shamrock´s tights and went for the pin but only got a two. Shamrock got a suplex for the win. But Rocky complained about the "knucks". And the referee reversed the decision when he saw the "knucks" in Shamrock´s thights.

In Your House: Breakdown September '98

Edge v. Owen Hart

Good pop for Edge; kinda good pop for Owen (this is Canada, mind
you). "Nugget" chants are still fierce, however.

Opens up with some good matwork, Owen working over the arm of Edge.
Things get going when Edge lands on his feet out of a monkey flip and
nails a nice dropkick. Edge tries for a guilltotine face
crusher/rocker dropper, but Owen lifts him upward..and he turns it
right into a frankensteiner. Quite nice.

Hart clotheslined to the outside, where he wanders into an oncoming
baseball slide. Edge nails a forearm, goes to the apron, and tries
for a cross-body but gets powerslammed right on the floor. Nice smack
to that. Match quickly back to the inside, where Owen gets a two-
count off of a missle dropkick. Gutwrench suplex, pendulum
backbreaker, and a neckbreaker by the Blackhart for a nearfall.

Edge leapfrogs the ducking Owen, but gets belly-to-bellied coming off
the ropes. Finds himself in a reverse chinlock as the crowd tries to
cheer him to his feet. Eventually he recovers, and whips Owen to the
corner. He runs in and takes a boot to the face, followed by a
victory roll for two. He counters by rolling backward, pinning Hart's
shoulders to the mat, for a near fall.

Hart kicks out of a cross-body press from the second ropes, and pops
Edge with an enzuigiri. He tries to climb to the ropes, but gets
caught and lifted, then promptly dropped with the off-the-shoulders
facebuster. Reverse single-leg slam/flapjack, and a swinging
neckbreaker for two counts on Owen.

Edge with a basic bodyslam..he seems pretty exhausted already. Owen
rolls away from a double-stomp, and turns his back to celebrate..
then turns back 'round, right into a DDT. Northern lights suplex on
Owen for two, German suplex on Edge for two.

Jim Ross asks Jerry Lawler if he thinks "[his] buddy Jim Carrey is
watching tonight". Lawler says he's going to be talking about Carrey
later, or something like that. Owen hits the X-Pac miss-the-bronco-
buster-and-crotch-yourself-on-the-turnbuckle spot and gets set on the
top. He counters Edge's superplex attempt with a gourdbuster/front
suplex off the top.

Edge kicks away from a Sharpshooter, and catches Owen bouncing out of
the corner with a quick small package for a nearfall. Hart takes a
spinning leg lariat, and Edge signals for the Downward Spiral..but
his attention is diverted by a long blonde-haired fellow on the
outside of the ring that could pass for Edge himself at a distance.

The Blackhart sees an opening, and quickly rolls Edge up from behind
with a rolling reverse prawn hold (hook your feet under your
opponent's arms, roll backward pinning his shoulders on the mat, hook
both legs, or 'prawns' as the Japanese wrestling terminology often
labels them).

Too Much v. Al Snow (w/ Head) & Scorpio

Ross mentions Snow and Scorpio having wrestled together in ECW at one
point. Lawler labels the orginization, "Extreme Crappy Wrestlers".
How true, King. I feel sorry for Lynn, Tanaka, Awesome, and the other
guys that don't suck. But that's not really the point here.

Scorpio with an atomic drop and the swankest US spinkick this side of
Waltman, both on Taylor. Christopher and Snow both tagged in.

Al locks BC's arms from the front and lands about half a dozen quick
headbutts. Taylor in, gets back bodydropped and clotheslined. Scorpio
back in, nails a pair of clotheslines in opposite corners on Taylor.
Snow grabs himself a chair from the outside and nails an "Air Sabu"
hipsmash off of it.

BC goes to see if Taylor's okay afterward, and gets dropkicked in the
ass by Scorpio (who slipped as he sprung off the chair, but managed
to get a low dropkick in anyway). Scorpio splashes Taylor from the
stop, but pulls him up before the three count. Outside, Snow nails
Brian with a guardrail moonsault.

Skipping forward a moment, Christopher nails a snap suplex on the
outside on Scorpio. Taylor hits a springboard sledge from the ring.
Back inside, the former Too Cold gets planted with a bulldog. Both of
Too Much try for a double-team back bodydrop, but Scorps lands on his
feet and nails them both with a split-legged double dropkick. Snow
tagged in.

Al hits a lowblow on Taylor with the Head, and tries for a pin, but
gets a "Tennessee Jam" (top-rope legdrop) in the back of the head.
Christopher tries to pin him, but gets nailed from above by Scorpio.
Somewhere in a barrage of shots from Head, TCS accidently got nailed.
Etc etc etc, and Scott Taylor gets Snowplowed for the pin.

"Marvelous" Marc Mero (w/ Jacqueline) v. Darren "Puke" Drozdov

Jackie still doesn't have a belt for her new title. Ross says Droz is
a deerhunter. In fact, he once ate the heart of a deer. Uh, yeah, so
the match went something like this...

Both guys brawl on the outside, with Mero being pitched to the steps.
Mero with some stomps on the inside..kick to the gut, and a kneelift.
"No longer a baaaadd man," says JR. Drozdov hit a nice flying
shoulderblock.

Marvelous takes a clothesline, but gets back to his feet just in time
to back bodydrop Puke out of the ring. Nice somersault plancha,
Wildman style. Drozdov rolled back in the ring, but gets his knees up
to counter a slingshot splash from MMM.

Reverse atomic drop with authority (oh Lord, I'm becoming a Big 2
announcer). Powerslam on Marc for two, but Jackie puts one of his
feet on the bottom rope for the quick save. Mero with a clothesline
and a chokehold using his wristtape. The ref's back is turned, trying
to get Mero to lose the tape, as Jackie leaps from the top rope and
nails Droz with her highheel.

Mero with a bodyslam WAY too close the the ropes..but he hits a swank
shooting star press (which I believe Ross called "Marvelosity") for
the three count. He almost caught his foot on the ropes on his way
down, but managed to stay far enough forward that he didn't trip up,
but DID nail the splash portion of the move full-on.

"Last Man Standing" No-Holds-Barred / Falls Count Anywhere Match:
Vader v. Bradshaw

Bradshaw does a short interview backstage with Michael Cole...

Cole: "Bradshaw, your match against Vader tonight - no holds barred,
falls count anywhere, one fall to the finish - it isn't gonna be
pretty."

Bradshaw: "Hell no it's not gonna be pretty. I didn't come here to
wrestle that fat bastard, I came here to fight him. Vader..you're
fixin' to find out it's survival of the fittest..not the fattest."

The man shaved that cool mustache, and lost a few pounds. Looks
younger and in better shape, especially in comparison to the mastadon.

Bradshaw opens with some stiff kicks and forearms in the corner.
Heavy clothesline in the corner on Vader, followed by a bodyslam
which the big Texan made look easy. Vader ducks a lariat and hits a
Vader attack, going to work on 'shaw's knee a bit and then landing a
splash for two.

Bradshaw off the ropes, nails a nice big boot to plant the fatman.
Clothesline sends Vader to the outside, where the bigger man is
nailed with the ringbell and a cool shortarm clothesline, followed by
an elbowdrop for a two-count on the mats.

Vader whips him to the steel steps, hitting a few shots and
uppercuts. The match goes back to the insde, where the mastadon gets
back suplexed out of a headlock.

The match starts

Vader with a bodyslam..and a big fat splash from the second ropes,
followed by a Vaderbomb. One, two, NOT three. Nice reaction from the
crowd as Bradshaw kicks out just before the ref slapped the mat a
third time. Bradshaw comes off the ropes, ducking a clothesline..and
nailing a lariat, or the WWF's "Clothesline From Hell". Vader manages
to kick out at two.

Bradshaw is obviously pissed, and waits for the porker to get back to
his feet so he can nail a second whip-ass larait. Vader slowly gets
back up once more, and takes a modified neckbreaker, which was like a
reverse diamond cutter from my view, with Vader facing outward and
getting dropped on the back of his head. Bradshaw makes the cover for
the one-two-three.

D-Lo Brown (w/o the European Title) v. Gangrel.

Ross says Gangrel is,"...living a gothic lifestyle." He's a damned
VAMPIRE! Just say it, man! They really dance around that word, just
like "drunk" with Hawk. "He's having personal problems." Whatever.

Gangrel with a double-arm belly-to-belly suplex, and a corkscrew
elbow drop. Or two. D-Lo misses a back elbow, but hits a leg lariat.
Brown with some right hands, and Ross keeps yappin'bout Gangrel
saying Edge will "come home" a week ago.

D-Lo misses a second rope elbow, and counters a tiger suplex with a
low backward kick. Kickass running Lygerbomb for a two count. Chubs
misses an avalanche splash in the corner, and takes an assortment of
kicks to the body.

Gangrel gets slammed down in counter to his DDT attempt, and takes a
vertical suplex. D-Lo's pants still read "European Champion", and of
course, he still claims that he's the real Euro champ. Sorta like
Maivia still claiming he's the People's Champ, or whatever.

DBrown ducks a clothesline, and nails one of his own. Nice modified
fireman's carry by D-Lo, dropped back into a suplex for two. He hooks
on a reverse chinlock on as Mark Henry slowly lumbers on down to the
ring.

Gangrel gets irish whipped, and D-Lo distracts the ref as Henry pulls
down the top rope and sends the goth tumbling to the outside. Henry
bearhugs him and rams his spine into the ringpost, rolling him back
inside so D-Lo can plant him with the "Sky-Hi" for the pin and
Gangrel's first loss.

Post-match, he chugs some blood..saving a bit in his mouth so he can
spit it in Mark Henry's eyes. He back suplexes the celebrating D-Lo
off the second ropes, and then hits the bunny hop DDT (as I've
officially dubbed it) before leaving with his little goblet.

Triple Threat Steel Cage Match: Ken Shamrock v. Rocky Maivia v.
Mankind

This is a return match from the Raw Triple Threat, which went to a no-
contest or something. The winner is to receive a title shot at the
world champion tomorrow night.

Shamrock gets a fairly weak pop. Mankind gets a pretty good pop.
Maivia gets a pop which was second perhaps only to Steve Austin. Lots
of "Rocky" (no "sucks" anymore!) chants, and even a "Shamrock sucks"
chant as the former Superfight champ pounded the Rock.

This baby went a good 20 minutes or so, by my estimation, so I'm
going to join it in progress here... Ken Shamrock catches Mankind
comes off the ropes with a kick, cinching him up in an abdominal
stretch. Rocky comes from behind, lacing his arm through and hooking
Shamrock in an abdominal stretch. So it's basically a three-way-
stretch we got here, until Shamrock and Foley both hipblock he who
had been stretching them.

Shamrock eventually tries to escape through the cage door, but is
dragged back into the cage by his opponents. Foley and Rocky work
together, pounding KS back and forth a bit. Shammer thrown face-first
into the cage..then whipped to the ropes and slugged in the gut by
the Rock. MK quickly nails a nice kneelift on the doubled-over
Shamrock.

We get a Sharock/Maivia alliance pretty quickly, but it ends when
Shamrock gets the ankle lock on Foley and Rock makes the save.
Shamrock and Mankind start to stomp away at Rocky, drawing many boos.
Double-team vertical suplex on Maivia, and Mankind waves too the half-
cheering, half-booing crowd.

Shamrock with a shot to the midsection, and MK does a little chicken
flappin' and jivin', going for a kneelift, but getting caught with a
clothesline. Mankind ducks a moment later, and gets dropped with a
DDT. Shamrock sends Rock to the ropes, and gets a backspin DDT/Maivia
Hurricane.

Both men get bodyslammed side by side, with about a foot and half of
space between them. Maivia does the hand motions, throwing off both
elbowpads, bouncing off the ropes, and dropping two elbows on both of
his opponents. He attempts to climb the cage, but Shamrock gets his
leg and pulls him down, with Rocky finding himself crotched on the
top rope.

Skipping skipping...Rock Bottom on Mankind for a nearfall, but
Shamrock breaks things up. "Shamrock sucks" chant starts up as he
hits a back elbow on Maivia. Rock recovers with a clothesline.
Shamrock ducks a second one, hits a belly-to-belly, and slaps on the
ankle lock. Rocky holds on for about 10 seconds before Mankind makes
the save to a big pop.

He then quickly climbs to the top of the cage, trying to escape, but
is pulled back to the top by his hair, by Maivia. RM gets tossed to
the mat, giving Mankind an opening to win it all..but he climbs to
the top corner of the steel structure, does a little dance, and leaps
off with a huge elbow drop..which Rocky rolled out of the way off,
giving Foley space to drill his arm and side right into the mat from
about 15 feet, or so says Ross.

Shamrock grabs a chair (which for some reason was set within arm's
reach of the cage door) and takes a swing, but Mankind ducks. Mick
with a double-arm DDT, followed by a big chairshot. Mankind scales
the cage, getting to the top and around to the other side..but the
Rock noticed, and made a quick cover on the unconscious Shammer for
the pin before Foley could touch the floor.

Dustin Runnels v. Val Venis (w/ Terri Runnels)

Venis brings out Terri, who's dressed up in a skimpy-sorta
purple..thing. She plays the role of Dustin's distraction for this
contest, which wasn't great nor horrible.

Things open up as VV lands a spinebuster as Dustin comes off the
ropes. Kick from Venis blocked; kick from Dustin not blocked. Runnels
follows up with a nice powerbomb which Venis took right on the back
of his neck.

Lots of whistles from the Canadian fans directed at Terri. Back
bodydrop on Double V. Val gets back on the offensive track, landing a
pair of knees to the midsection and a side russian legsweep. Camel
clutch locked on Runnels, who yelled out "Terri!" at one point in the
hold.

Venis with a choke over the rope, but his vertical suplex is blocked.
Runnels counters with a veritcal suplex of his own, but misses an
elbowdrop. "Take it off" chants as Venis wrenches on the former
Goldust with a reverse chinlock. Both men to their feet..Venis
dropped on his head with a DDT.

They fight around a bit longer, with Venis getting tossed to the
outside. He takes hold of Terri, getting all touchy-feely right in
front of Dustin. VV with a powerslam as things make their way back
into the ring, followed by a set of elbowdrops and the Money Shot for
the pin.

The duo gets all kissy-touchy in front of Dustin again as he walks
off to the back.

Jeff Jarrett & Southern Justice v. X-Pac & New Age Outlaws

Again, joined in progress...
Road Dog with a pair of jabs and a little dance, which gets him a
nice fat clothesline from Mark Canterbury. Jarrett in, lands a DDT
for two. X-Pac tagged in..misses a clothesline, but lands a spinning
leg lariat. Canterbury comes in, and counters an attempted leg lariat
with a powerbombish slam.

Dennis Knight in, and hits a nice delayed vertical suplex. Double J
back in, plants Waltman with a powerslam. Canterbury tagged in once
again..hits a splash, chokes Pac a bit.

Knight in and out quickly after a few kneedrops, Canterbury back in
with a spinning reverse powerbomb for two..Billy Gunn makes the save.
JJ in, hooks XP in a sleeper for a minute or two. Throws Jarrett to
the ropes, and hooks on a sleeper of his own. Jeff tries to counter
with a belly-to-back, but XP lands on his feet and lands a belly-to-
back of his own.

Billy Gunn and Knight tagged in by their respective partners. JJ
comes back in and gets press slammed by Gunn, then Bronco Busted by X-
Pac. Waltman tries for the faceslam, but Canterbury quickly nails a
big clothesline to counter. He gets clotheslined out of the ring a
moment later, and takes a nasty shot from Jarrett's guitar.

Back in the ring, Billy hits a jumping guillotine ace crusher for the
quick pin on Knight for the pin. The Outlaws finally notice X-Pac's
still down on the side of the ring, and go to check him
out...possible eye damage (perhaps by splinters from the shattering
guitar) to the kid, who is helped to the back by his tag partners.

Triple Threat World Title Match: Kane v. Undertaker v. Steve Austin
The stipulations to date...

- Single elimination; the first pin/submission ends the match.
- Kane cannot pin the Undertaker, and the Undertaker cannot pin Kane.
- Should someone interfere on behalf of Austin, the match will be stopped and Stone Cold stripped of the belt.

Kane hits the ring first, Undertaker coming out next..but Austin pops
out suddenly from behind with a chair and nails him in the back. He
fights Kane back toward the ring as UT tries to recover.

Taker slowly stalks back to the action, but gets knocked into the
steps. SCSA and Kane fight around for a bit, with Austin busting out
with a Stunner out of nowhere for a two-count, UT making the save.
Austin and Undertaker punch back and forth for a while, while Kane
tries to recover from the Stunner.

Thesz press by Austin, and an elbowdrop. Kane clotheslined out of the
ring, and Stone Cold lands a swinging neckbreaker on UT. The next few
minutes of the match consist of the brothers pounding Steve around
for a bit, then the champ gets a big energy boost and starts a
kick/punch flurry, but gets pounded some more.

Undertaker accidently slugs Kane in the face at one point, but
nothing more than a staredown comes of it. The three fight down the
aisle, to the entrance area, and back to the ring. Things start to
heat up when Undertaker lands a big chairshot, and goes for the
cover, but Kane suddenly pulls him off and stops the count.

The plot thickens, as Kane lands a sledgehammer off the top and tries
for the pin, but Undertaker breaks things up. Then from behind, UT
starts pounding Kane down. Somewhere in here, Taker is thrown to the
outside..Austin lands a russian legsweep on Kane for two.

The brothers go back to taking turns beating on the champion, each
breaking up the other's pin attempts. They begin fighting again,
until they're both knocked down from a double-clothesline. Austin
trades off between them, throwing clothesline and punches left and
right. But he gets thrown to the ropes, and finds himself in the
grasp of two large hands..and he's planted with a double-choeslam.
The brothers each hook a leg, leaning backward over half of the
fallen champ to make the cover.

The ref makes the count with both men covering...one, two, three.
"The winner of this bout...and NEW World Wrestling Federation
champion..." But Finkel doesn't know who to announce. Vince McMahon
comes out, ordering Brisco to bring him the belt. Brisco does so, and
Vinny takes off with the strap. Stone Cold eventually comes to,
fighting through some of McMahon's suits to get to the back.

He walks through the parking lot, reaching the exit where Vince's
limo has temporarily stopped. VM screams, "You see this?! You don't
have it anymore! ... It's MINE!", pointing to the world title belt.
He climbs back in the limo, which hauls off as Austin watches on.

In Your House: Judgment Day October '98

In the opening match, Al Snow pinned "Marvelous" Marc Mero with the
Snow Plow. Snow landed on his feet in counter to Mero's TKO, picked
up the Marvelous one, and drilled him with the northern lights bomb
for the win.

LOD2000 (Animal/Drozdov) & Hawk defeated DOA & Paul Ellering. Animal
and Hawk hit the Doomsday Device on one of DOA, and Droz make the
quick cover for the three count. Hawk seemed a little upset that Droz
stole his pin.

In the upset of the evening, Christian pinned TAKA Michinoku to win
the Light Heavyweight Title. TAKA dominated the majority of the
match, but his Michinoku Driver attempt was countered with a nice
roll-through into a cradle for the quick three count.

Goldust pinned Val Venis following a kick to the groin. Terri got on
the apron to distract her husband (who was still wearing his wedding
ring during the match), but didn't get the job done. Venis tried to
clothesline the distracted GD, but the move was ducked, and Val had
to stop short to avoid hitting Mrs. Runnels. He turned back around
and got kicked low while the ref's attention was elsewhere, trying to
get Terri off the apron. Goldust covers for the three count.

In the second title match of the show, X-Pac pinned D-Lo Brown to
regain the European Title. D-Lo dove from the top turnbuckle,
straight into X-Pac's faceslam (much like XP's first Euro title win
on Raw a few weeks ago), for the pin.

In a match for the Tag Team Titles, the Headbangers defeated the New
Age Outlaws, though only via disqualification (no title change). Road
Dog entered the ring and smashed a boombox over Mosh's head to decide
the match. Regardless, though, there didn't seem to be any problems
between Billy Gunn or the Dog during the match.

Ken Shamrock defeated Mankind via submission to retain the
Intercontinental Title. In the midst of the ankle lock, Mankind
applied the Mandible Claw to himself, submitting and ending the
match. Before the contest, he claimed in an interview that he
wouldn't submit to Shamrock's hold, and this was his way of living up
to the claim (since he apparently couldn't get to the ropes a second
time).

Mark Henry pinned "The Rock" Rocky Maivia with assistance from D-Lo
Brown. Henry landed a big splash and D-Lo held Rock's feet down from
outside the ring, allowing the world's strongest man to get the
(perhaps, upset) win.

In the main event contest, special guest referee "Stone Cold" Steve
Austin counted both Kane and the Undertaker down to a double-pin.
Paul Bearer made his way to the ring, and convinced his son Kane to
step aside so he could hit the 'Taker with a steel chair. Kane turned
his back, but was promptly struck by Bearer. He didn't go down, but
rather, backed Paul into a corner. He was about to attack when UT got
to his feet and nailed him a second time with the same chair, going
for the cover. Austin refused to count.

Undertaker got up to argue with Stone Cold, but was kicked in the gut
and Stunned. Austin delivered a chairshot and counted three with both
hands while the brothers were laid out, announcing himself as the
winner. He called out Vince McMahon, who didn't show. He went looking
backstage, but didn't find him. Finally, he came back to the ring,
and the video screen was raised upward to reveal a large skybox-style
room which McMahon was sitting in with the Big Bossman, K9 units,
etc. Fans threw garbage and other debris into his room as he made an
announcement which can be summed up with one single quote from the
man himself...

"Stone Cold, screw you! You're FIRED!"

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Survivor Series: "Deadly Game" 1998

In the opening match, Mankind pinned Dwayne Gill with a rolling
cradle. Gill was a jobber from the early 90s, "hand-picked" by Vince
to allow Mankind an easy way into the quarter-finals.

For the second first round match, Al Snow pinned Jeff Jarrett with a
"Headbutt".

Next up, Steve Austin defeated the Big Bossman via disqualification.
It became apparent, as Bossman beat Stone Cold down with his
nightstick, that the intention of this match was not necessarily to
have Austin pinned. Vince's plan was for BB to attempt to injure his
opponent, softening up for his quarter-finals opponent.

X-Pac and Steven Regal's match resulted in a double-countout. Vince,
upset with the prospect of Austin receiving a bye in the second
round, ordered the match to be restarted. X-Pac, however, was unable
to compete, and helped to the back. Regal ran off after him, and both
men were apparently counted out again (if the match was even
officially restarted).

Ken Shamrock made Goldust submit to the anklelock. Goldust had
Shammer set up for the "Shattered Dreams", but the ref got in the way
and stopped it (which would've gotten GD disqualified anyway).
Shamrock took advantage, and lept off the second turnbuckle with a
swing frankensteiner. Follow it up with a belly-to-belly, and his
trademark submission hold for the win.

Rocky Maivia pinned the Big Bossman to advance to the quarter-finals.
Hunter Hearst Helmsly (Rocky's previously-arranged opponent) no-
showed, and Mr. McMahon selected Bossman as his replacement. The
Bigman slid into the ring, but was immediately rolled up in a small
package for the pin. A WWF record, according to Jim Ross...4-second
match.

With a little assistance from Paul Bearer, the Undertaker pinned Kane
with a Tombstone. Kane had things going his way, even nailing the
chokeslam, but Bearer provided a little distraction. UT hit the
Tombstone, and Paul held down one of Kane's feet from outside, making
a kickout all the more difficult.

Mankind defeated Al Snow with the Mandible Claw. Snow tried for a
Headbutt, but MK ducked and hit a belly-to-back suplex. Head was
dropped, and Foley noticed Socko tied around it as a little Headband.
He grabbed up his little friend, and applied the Mandible Sockclaw
with for the submission.

Rocky Maivia pinned Ken Shamrock in the quarter-finals, following a
shot from the Big Bossman's nightstick. Rocky had escaped Shamrock's
anklelock, and Shamrock had kicked out of the People's Elbow in the
course of the match. Bossman threw his nightstick in to Shamrock
behind the ref's back, but the Rock intercepted it and dished out a
shot to his opponent's face for the pin.

Sable pinned Jacqueline with a powerbomb to become the WWF women's
champion.

Mankind pinned Steve Austin to advance to the finals. Austin had
landed the Stunner, and the ref counted 2 1/2, but Vince McMahon
jumped into the ring and pulled said ref outside. He and Slaughter
KO'ed him, and Austin & Foley continued to fight. Stone Cold hit
another Stunner, and Shane McMahon came running to make the count. 1,
2..but he didn't make the 3rd count. He flashed Stone Cold the double-
bird, and took off to the outside. Patterson and Brisco double-teamed
Austin, nailing him with a chair. Mankind covered, Shane counted
three. Father and son took off together, along with the stooges, and
Austin followed close behind.

The New Age Outlaws defeated D-Lo Brown/Mark Henry and the
Headbangers to retain the world tag titles. Billy got the pin with a
piledriver on one of the Headbangers to finish things up.

Rocky Maivia defeated the Undertaker via disqualification to advance.
Kane made his way to the ring, and UT threw his opponent in his
(Kane's) direction. The big red machine chokeslammed the Rock,
earning him a DQ victory into the finals.

In the finals of the world title tournament, Rocky Maivia defeated
Mankind to capture the belt. In attempts to slap Bret Hart in the
face, Rocky slapped on the Sharpshooter...McMahon called for the
bell, and grabbed the belt. Shane and Vince climbed into the ring,
handing over the belt..then joining the new champ in a three-way hug.
The three did heelish interviews, which concluded with Maivia saying
something to effect of, "It's time for the people to kiss my ass, if
ya smell what the Rock is cookin'!"

Steve Austin sprinted down to the ring and duked it out with the
champ, landing a Stunner on him. Foley got to his feet (after he'd
been clobbered from behind with Rock's title belt), but also got a
Stunner. Slow-mo look back at the McMahons raising Rocky's hands in
celebration of his victory.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

In Your House: Rock Bottom December '98

In the opening match, D-Lo Brown & Mark Henry defeated Val Venis &
the Godfather. Terri Runnels and Jacqueline accompanied the team of D-
Lo and Henry. The match concluded when the ref was distracted, and
Jackie interfered, pulling down the tights (partially) of Venis.
Henry capitalized with a clothesline and a big splash for the three-
count.

The Headbangers defeated the Oddities in the second tag match of the
evening. This match turned out to be just Thrasher and Mosh v. Golga
and Kurrgan (no Tiger Ali Singh or Giant Silva). Mosh wound up
getting the pin with a "Bombs Away" sit-down splash off the top on
Golga.

Steve Blackman defeated Owen Hart via countout. Owen got the big face
pop, as this show took place in Canada...but he ended up walking out
for the CO after narrowly escaping the cluthes of his own hold, the
Sharpshooter.

In a six-man tag match, the Brood (Gangrel/Edge/Christian) defeated
the J.O.B. Squad (Al Snow/Bob Holly/Scorpio). The end broke down into
a lucha-esque series of highspots and nearfalls, until
Gangrel/Edge/Holly/Snow all found themselves brawling on the outside.
Inside the ring, though, Christian caught Scorpio in the Tomokaze for
the pin. Bob Holly is sporting a short new buzzcut, too.

Strip Tease Match: Jeff Jarrett pinned Goldust following his side
russian legsweep/faceslam. However, Commissioner Shawn Michaels came
out and reversed the desicion, as Debra McMichael had nailed Goldie
with JJ's guitar during the match. After some fuss and complaining,
Ms. McMichael got to work, stripping down to her undergarments...but
just as she was about to ditch the top, in came Jarrett with the Blue
Blazer. Blazer draped his cape around her, much to the crowd's
disappointment. The three left to the back together.

Tag Title Match: The New Age Outlaws defeated Ken Shamrock and the
Big Bossman to retain their belts. Billy Gunn attempted to vertical
suplex Shamrock, but Shawn Michaels grabbed his foot and allowed
Shammy to counter with a cross-body. Gunn rolled through, however,
and hooked the leg for the quick pin.

World Title Match: Mankind defeated Rocky Maivia, but failed to
capture the world title. He'd won the match with his Mandible Claw,
and the referee called for the bell, but Vince McMahon grabbed the
mic and announced that the title can only change hands via pin or
submission, so therefore Rocky was still champ. Eh. Team Corporate
runs in for the beat-down on Foley post-match, leaving him battered
and bruised, to limp back to his lockerroom alone with only the
support of his good friend, the steel chair, as a walker.

Buried Alive Match: Steve Austin defeated the Undertaker. The finish
was sloppy, with Austin bringing in a backhoe to dump dirt on 'Taker
- except the guy operating the large construction vehicle didn't have
any idea what he was doing, so Stone Cold finally just gave up and
started burying UT with a shovel. He walked around, drinking a few
beers after the match, giving one to referee Earl Hebner as well.

1999 WWF Royal Rumble

Road Dog vs. Bossman
Winner: Bossman put his finisher slam on Road Dog out of nowhere in a
match dominated by Road Dog.

Ken Shamrock vs. Billy Gunn (Intercontinental Title)
Winner: Shamrock by ankle lock. The ref gets knocked out, and Val
Venis comes out and DDT's Shamrock. The ref wakes up as Billy Gunn is
pinning Shamrock, but Shamrock kicks out. Billy hurts himself jumping
off the top rope, and Ken applies the ankle lock.

Gangrel vs. X-Pac (European Title Match)
Winner: X-Pac hits the XFactor and gets the pin.

Luna vs. Sable (Women Title Match) Also a Strap Match
Winner: Sable. Each wrestler had to touch four corners before the
other to win, and they were tied together with a strap. Both had
touched three, and were going for the fourth, when Sable's "Fan" came
out and decked Luna. Sable touched the fourth corner and won the
match.

Rock vs. Mankind (WWF World Title) "I QUIT" Match
Winner: The Rock played a fake sound clip of Mankind saying "I QUIT"
over the announcements and wins. But, despite never being incontrol,
this was another great show on the part of Mick Foley. He took
another historic beating which involved 15 chair shots to the head,
and being thrown from a high level of stands, onto the electrical
circuit breaker which sizzled out as Mankind hit it.

Royal Rumble
Winner: Vince McMahon. Austin beat up McMahon when the bell rang, and
they fought all around the arena until they were ambushed by The
Corporation, and Austin was taken off in an ambulance. The rest of
the rumble went on, and a surprise entry was Mabel, who was taken off
in a herse by the Undertaker. McMahon stayed outside and did
commentary throughout the rumble. With about 5 guys left in the
Rumble, austin drove back in his ambulance, and ran in the ring and
started elminating people. He eliminated everyone, then went outside
to get McMahon. He gave McMahon a chair shot to the head, and threw
him in the ring and stunnered him. He was about to throw out Vince
when the Rock came down and started fighting with Austin on the ring
apron, Vince got up and pushed him out from behind and that was all
she wrote.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
WWF IYH: St. Valentines Day Massacre

Match 1: Goldust vs. Bluedust
Winner: Goldust by pin after curtain call.

Match 2: Bob Holly vs. Al Snow (Hardcore Championship)
Winner: Bob Holly (and new champion). This match was fought all over
the place, and even in the Mississippi River! But Bob Holly got the
victory when he pinned Al Snow under a fence.

Match 3: Bossman vs. Mideon
Winner: Bossman. The Bossman hit his Sidewalk Slam out of no where to
score the victory, but the Ministry of Darkness carried him away
after the match to be their next possible recruit.

Match 4: Double J/Owen Hart vs. Mark Henry/D-Lo Brown (Tag Team
Championship)
Winners: Double J/Owen. Double J made Mark henry tap out in the
figure 4.

Match 5: Val Venis vs. Ken Shamrock (Intercontinental Title Match)
Special Referee Billy Gunn
Winner: Val Venis (and new champion). There was fighting going on
between Ken, his sister, and Billy Gunn, when Val rolled up Ken for
the pin.

Match 6: Kane & Chyna vs. X-Pac & Triple H
Winners: Kane & Chyna. Triple H was giving Chyna the pedigree for a
second time when Kane chokeslammed Triple H, and Chyna pinned him.

Match 7: The Rock vs. Mankind (WWF Title Match) Last Man Standing
Match
Winner: Draw, Mankind retains the belt. This was an extremely brutal
match, but in the end both men knocked each other out with chairs,
and a draw was declared.

Match 8: Stone Cold vs. Mr. McMahon (Steel Cage Match)
Winner: Stone Cold Steve Austin. Vince wasnt coming in the cage so
Austin went out to get him and brought him in and beat the crap out
of him. Austin hits the stunner when WWF's newest superstar Paul
Wight (The Giant), who will be called Colossus (or maybe Titan), came
to the ring and beat up Austin. But the cage ended up collapsing, and
Austin fell out and won.

Wrestlemania 15 Report for March 28th, 1999
By Steve Appenrodt (Appenrodt@yahoo.com)
Live from Philadelphia PA
Boyz To Men opened Wrestlemania 15 with the 'Star Spangled Banner'.
Freddie Blassie followed with a narration of the WWF legends, lending
immediate importance to the event. Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler
hosted the festivities; Jim Ross would make the show complete.

Harcore Holly defeated Al Snow and Billy Gunn in a Harcore Triple
Threat Match in 7:04 when Holly pinned Snow to win the WWF Hardcore
Championship
Snow entertained the crowd with a broken broomstick, following up
Gunn's use of a hockey stick. After knocking down both men with
Head, Snow brought a table into the ring. Momentium backfired, and
Gunn sent Snow crashing through the table. Gunn used the "Famouser"
to knock Snow unconscious, and Gunn seemed poised to retain his
championship. Holly knocked Gunn off Snow, and covered Snow for the
victory himself; title changes where the champion doesn't lose
directly are always suspect.

Jeff Jarrett & Owen Hart (w/Debra) defeated D-Lo Brown & Test
(w/Ivory) in 3:54 when Jarrett pinned Brown
Test & D-Lo immediatly teased dissension; under her robe, Debra wore
a bra & panties (must be seen to be appreciated). Owen clipped D-Lo
from behind, allowing Jarrett to score the victory. In the midst of
all this, PMS brawled with Ivory, continuing their never ending feud
with Brown.

Butterbean knocked Bart Gunn out in 0:45 seconds of a Brawl for All
Matchup
Kevin Rooney, Chuck Whipner & Gorilla Monsoon (showing the signs of
his illness) were the judges; Vinny Ponzenza was the referee.
Butterbean knocked Gunn out in the first round in an apparent shoot
(Gunn's mystique was killed tonight).

Mankind defeated Paul Wight via disqualification in 6:49 to become
the referee in the WWF World Championship match
Foley continually hooked the Mandible Claw, and the third time seemed
to be the charm. As Wight appeared to be on the verge of passing
out, he slammed his whole body weight onto Mankind, knocking Foley
senseless. Showing far too much aggressiveness, Wight chokeslammed
Foley through two chairs, earning a DQ loss.
Vince McMahon was livid, and pushed Wight to the point where Wight
used a big fist to knock McMahon unconscious. As Foley was
stretchered to the back, Patterson & Brisco assisted Vince to the
back. Vince demanded that Wight be arrested; far too early to go
through with this turn...

Intercontinetal Champion Road Dogg defeated Goldust (w/The Blue
Meanie & Ryan Shamrock), Ken Shamrock & Val Venis in a elimination IC
match.
Brawling on the outside, both Venus & Shamrock were counted out. An
enraged Shamrock belly to back suplexed both Road Dogg & Goldust,
putting both men at an even level. Ryan "accidently" tripped
Goldust, giving Road Dogg a chance to schoolboy poor Goldust. Ryan
walked to the locker room alone, at least for now...

Kane defeated Hunter Hearst Helmsly via disqualification in 11:33
The Pazmanian Devil attacked Kane, and was unmasked as Pete Rose.
Repeating his performance at last years Wrestlemania, Rose suffered a
Tombstone Piledriver for his troubles. HHH carried Kane to the best
match of his career before both men were distracted by Chyna's
arrival. She threw the ring stairs into the ring, and HHH used a
drop toe hold to send Kane face first into the stairs. After Kane
chokeslammed HHH, Chyna turned on Kane, connecting with a chair into
the confused Kane. As Kane laid broken hearted, Chyna embraced HHH,
rejoining DX in the process.

As Mick Foley was declared to be too injured to referee the main
event, Vince McMahon announced himself as the new official.

WWF Women's Champion Sable pinned Tori in 5:02
Tori wore a sexy bodysuit that brought back memories of Catwoman;
Nicole Bass destroyed Tori, leaving her easy prey for a SableBomb.
Bass appears to be Sable's new bodyguard, an albatross that Sable
doesn't need.

Kevin Kelly interviewed a complete and reunited DX; with Chyna at
their side, DX promised that Shane McMahon would feel their wrath.

European Champion Shane McMahon (w/Test) pinned X-Pac
X-Pac encountered interference by Brisco, Patterson & Test; McMahon
used a belt to whip a battered X-Pac. Test hit X-Pac in the face
with the strap, and gained a near fall on X-Pac. Missing a Bronco
Buster, Shane crotched himself; after hitting the X-Factor, X-Pac
covered Shane for an apparent victory. HHH & Chyna came to ringside,
and HHH TURNED ON X-PAC! With HHH & Chyna in the Corporation, the
New Age Outlaws tried to make the save, only to be rebuffed by Test &
HHH. Kane made the save for DX (could he be DX's new member?).
Seems like a bad fit...

The Undertaker (w/Paul Bearer) pinned The Big Boss Man in a Hell In
the Cell Cage Match in 9:45
Handcuffing UT to the cage, the Boss Man hammered UT with his
nightstick. With his forehead busted open, the Undertaker seemed
like easy prey for the Boss Man's attacks. After nine minutes of the
worst Hell in the Cell yet, UT pinned the Boss Man after the
Tombstone Piledriver. The Brood descended from the ceiling, perched
on top of the cage. The Brood tore their way into the Cell, and a
noose was wrapped around the Boss Man's neck as the cage was raised.
While a scary visual, it also came across as yet one more lame
supernatural angle.

In a wonderful move, Jim Ross was introduced as the play by play man
for the main event. Even now, Ross is indisputably the best
commentator in the business. He was followed by the Showstopper...

Surprising Vince McMahon, Commisioner Shawn Michaels sent Vince back
to the locker room, appointing referee Tim White as tonight's
official. HBK's charisma may be without equal.

Stone Cold Steve Austin pinned The Rock in 16:50 to win his third WWF
World Heavyweight Championship
The Rock worked over Austin's heavily braced right knee; Austin used
a flying elbow to send The Rock through the Spanish announcers table
(poor guys). Austin barely kicked out of The Rock Bottom, and Stone
Cold inadvertantly knocked out the referee with a chair. A new
official took his place, and Austin showed incredible timing in
kicking out of near falls. After the Rock destroyed the second
referee, Earl Hebner became the third official of record. As Vince
McMahon knocked out Hebner, Vince & The Rock double teamed a prone
Austin. An injured Mankind limped to ringside, and became referee
#4. Austin avoided the Corporate Elbow, nailed the Stunner, and
covered The Rock for the victory. Chugging two Coors Lights, Stone
Cold celebrated in style; surprisingly, Mankind & The Rock left
ringside quietly. As a sobbing McMahon limped to the back, Austin
celebrated with his good pal Earl Hebner. Crazy enough to scold
Austin, McMahon suffered both a stunner and a beer drenching. A
fitting conclusion...

Wrestling Events Substitutions

Here are some of the substitutions the WWF had to make in events.

Survivor Series '87- The WWF claims that Superstar Billy Graham was originally put on Hulk Hogan's Survivor team, but since he was attacked by Butch Reed and the One Man Gang he was replaced by Don Muraco. I personally don't believe a word of this since Graham was scheduled for hip surgery.
Summerslam '88- The Ultimate Warrior replaced Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake in the Intercontinental title match against The Honky Tonk Man. Beefcake had been severely gouged by Outlaw Ron Bass' boot spurs.

Survivor Series '88- Scott Casey replaced B.Brian Blair who had replaced JYD. This would make sense since JYD had unfinished business with Ravishing Rick Rude due to Jake Roberts' interference at Summerslam. JYD then left, and was replaced by Blair. Blair then left since the Killer Bees were broken up, and he and Brunzell would have been reduced to jobber status (due to the overload of tag teams at this time).

Jim Brunzell replacing Don Muraco (on the Warrior/Beefcake team). This is most likely true. I don't think that the WWF would have originally stuck in a wrestler who had only recently become a jobber (due to the Killer Bees break up mentioned above). Muraco did leave the WWF around this time, so it's very likely that he was on the Warrior/Beefcake team.
Survivor Series '89- Bobby "The Brain" Heenan replaced Tully Blanchard on Andre's team (Tully was fired from the WWF earlier in the day. This was a last minute change). The Earthquake replaced The Widow Maker (Barry Windham) on Randy Savage's team. Bad News Brown replaced Akeem on The Big Boss Man's team.

Royal Rumble '90- The Red Rooster replaced The Widow Maker (left the WWF) in the Royal Rumble (The Widow Maker was originally scheduled, but was never formally announced).

Summerslam '90- The Warlord replaced Rick "The Model" Martel in the match against Tito Santana. The Big Boss Man replaced Tugboat as Hulk Hogan's cornerman. The Texas Tornado Kerry Von Erich replaced Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake in the Intercontinental title match against Mr. Perfect (Beefcake's face got destroyed in a parasailing accident).

Survivor Series '90- Haku replaced Ravishing Rick Rude (suspended by President Jack Tunney) on Earthquake's team. Boris Zhukov replaced Akeem (left the WWF) on Sgt. Slaughter's team.

Royal Rumble '91- Tito Santana replaced The Honky Tonk Man (left the WWF) in the Rumble.

Survivor Series '91- Sgt. Slaughter replaced Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart (injured by Ric Flair's figure-four leglock during a match, and then attacked by the Beverly Brothers) on Hacksaw Jim Duggan's team. El Matador Tito Santana replaced Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat (left the WWF) on Hacksaw Jim Duggan's team. Hercules replaced Big Bully Busick (left the WWF)on Skinner's team. The Six man tag team match was originally supposed to have: Sid Justice, The Big Boss Man, and The Legion of Doom vs. Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Irwin R. Schyster, and The Natural Disasters. This match was changed to The Big Boss Man and The Legion of Doom vs. Irwin R. Schyster and The Natural Disasters since Sid was injured, and Jake "The Snake" Roberts was scheduled to wrestle Macho Man Randy Savage at Tuesday in Texas instead.

Royal Rumble '92- Haku and Nikolai Volkoff replaced Marty Jannetty (a cut up face after being thrown through a window by Shawn Michaels) and Nasty Boy Brian Knobbs (a separated shoulder). Roddy Piper replaced Bret Hart in the Intercontinental title match against The Mountie. Bret's temperature was 104 degrees, and he was too sick to wrestle.

The Wrestlemania 8 card was changed quite a bit. Hulk Hogan was supposed to wrestle Ric Flair for the WWF title, but since Justice turned heel on Hogan, and Hogan was going to leave the WWF anyway, this was changed to Randy Savage vs. Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan vs. Sid Justice. The Legion of Doom was supposed to defend their tag team titles against the Natural Disasters, and the New Foundation (Owen Hart + Jim Neidhart) was supposed to be part of the eight man tag team match. Money Incorporated (Dibiase + Schyster) defeated The Legion of Doom since Hawk had to recover from a back injury, so The Legion of Doom was replaced by Money Incorporated. Jim Neidhart left the WWF, so Owen Hart was put in a singles match against Skinner, and Hacksaw Jim Duggan + Sgt. Slaughter replaced the New Foundation in the eight man tag match. Davey Boy Smith was supposed to wrestle the Berzerker at this event, but this match was dropped for whatever reason.

Summerslam '92- The Money Inc./Legion of Doom match was supposed to be a tag team title match (with the Legion of Doom winning the titles), but was changed to a non-title match when the Natural Disasters won the tag team title (since the Legion of Doom was leaving the WWF). Tito Santana replaced Kerry Von Erich in the match against the Papa Shango.

Survivor Series '92- Mr. Perfect teamed with Randy Savage and replaced The Ultimate Warrior against Razor Ramon + Ric Flair when The Warrior left the WWF. The Nasty Boys replaced the Bushwhackers in the eight man tag team elimination match. Davey Boy Smith was supposed to defend the Intercontinental title against The Mountie, but this match was dropped completely when Shawn Michaels won the title on Saturday Night's Main Event (since Davey Boy Smith was leaving the WWF).

Royal Rumble '93- Nailz was originally supposed to be in the Rumble, but he ended up being fired by the WWF. Whether it's true or not, I heard that he was upset with Vince McMahon during a meeting at the Titan Towers, and punched him in the face. Had he continued, he would have been in a feud with The Undertaker. Nailz was scheduled to attack The Undertaker, and The Undertaker would respond by saying that he was going to give Nailz the death sentence (or something like that). Kamala was also scheduled to be in the Royal Rumble. One other thing. This is going to sound bizarre, but apparently it's true. There was a reason why Max Moon (Paul Diamond) and Tatanka (Chris Chavis) were not in the Rumble at the same time. Why? Because Chavis' wife had been having a real life affair with Diamond! I thought this was ridiculous at first, but I've heard this from tons of people. A number of wrestlers have also reported that Diamond and Chavis have had to be separated and restrained in locker rooms. Isn't the wrestling world interesting?

Wrestlemania 9- A match between Bam Bam Bigelow and Kamala was supposed to take place, but never did. Vince McMahon had to come up with the angle that Money Incorporated paid some people off to injure Hulk Hogan before the tag match at Wrestlemania (these comments were revealed for the first time at Wrestlemania). The angle was actually a cover-up. Randy Savage had actually punched Hogan in the face, the day before Wrestlemania. This wasn't revealed since both Hogan and Savage were faces (good guys). McMahon also thought that the mention of Hogan's black eye would add some intenstity (in the eyes of the fans) to the Wrestlemania match against Money Incorporated.

Summerslam '93- Ludvig Borga replaced Rick "The Model" Martel in the match against Marty Jannetty. The main event was orginally scheduled as Bret Hart vs. Hulk Hogan believe it or not. Since Hogan refused to job to Bret Hart, McMahon told him to drop the title to Yokozuna at King of the Ring so that the feud could develop between he and Yokozuna. When Hogan asked McMahon (after losing the title) when he would win the title back, McMahon fired him. Bret Hart was basically put on the back burner, and McMahon tried to develop Lex Luger as a Hulk Hogan-type personality. Of course, we all know that that didn't work.

Survivor Series '93- The Undertaker replaced Tatanka on Luger's team. (I was actually at the live event where Luger and The Steiners announced the Undertaker as their new partner during an interview for WWF Superstars!). Crush replaced Quebecer Pierre after Luger gave him a concussion (or "Excedrin Headache Number 35!" as Gorilla Monsoon would call it). Shawn Michaels replaced Jerry Lawler as the team captain for the knights. Jerry Lawler was being charged with rape. The charges were eventually dropped and Lawler returned to the WWF. By the way, in case you didn't figure it out, the Black Knight was Jeff Gaylord, the Blue Knight was Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, and the Red Knight was supposedly Barry Horowitz. I say supposedly because I am still convinced that the Red Knight was Paul Diamond (a.k.a. Max Moon; a.k.a. Orient Express' Kato). Macho Man Randy Savage replaced Mr. Perfect. The WWF will never admit it, but Mr. Perfect is apparently an alcoholic, and was too sick on the day of the event to wrestle.

Royal Rumble '94- Bam Bam Bigelow replaced Ludvig Borga in the match against Tatanka. Kwang the Ninja, Sparky Plugg, and Virgil replaced Ludvig Borga, Kamala, and the 1-2-3 Kid in the Rumble. Some of the outcomes of matches were changed. The Undertaker was originally supposed to win the casket match and the WWF title. Soon after, he was scheduled to drop the title to Ludvig Borga before Wrestlemania. This would've set up a match against Lex Luger at Wrestlemania since Luger was scheduled to be the lone winner of the Royal Rumble. The plan was to have Yokozuna take some time off to lose some weight (his doctor was worried about his condition). The Undertaker badly needed some time off due to his back problems (that's why the WWF gave him the gimmick. The bodysuit that he wears actually covers up a back brace that he wears when he wrestles). Luger would then have all of the spotlight, and be turned into a new Hulk Hogan personality as the new WWF Champion (at Wrestlemania). This is what happened: Mark Callaway's (The Undertaker) back problems worsened dramatically, so he needed to be written out of the script right away. Yokozuna didn't bother to listen to his doctor and decided to stay with the WWF. In the meantime, Ludvig Borga absolutely destroyed his ankle during a match (either against Rick Steiner or in a battle royal), and the WWF had to let him go. Bret Hart was chosen to win the title since he had been cheated out of a title shot when Hogan left the WWF. McMahon figured that he could give Luger the title sometime down the road. Luger eventually became extremely upset at not having the title and left the WWF for WCW. (I think I got off on a tanget!)

Apparently, I made it sound as if Lex Luger left the WWF when McMahon wouldn't give him the World title at Wrestlemania X. From what I understand, McMahon told Luger that he would be the Champion in the near future. Unfortunately for Luger, McMahon kept postponing the title reign for Lex Luger in order to develop storylines, but still planned on giving the title to Luger at some point. This postponement lasted for over a year and a half. Luger simply got sick of waiting, and left the WWF for WCW in September of '95.

Wrestlemania 10- You have it listed as April 20, 1994. It was actually March 20, 1994. (Ok. Fixed now) The 10 Man Tag team match never took place due to time constraints. It was held the next night on Monday Night RAW. The match was: The 1-2-3 Kid, Sparky Plugg, Tatanka, and The Smoking Gunns vs. Rick "The Model" Martel, Jeff Jarrett, Irwin R. Schyster, and The Headshrinkers. Martel/Jarrett/Schyster/Headshrinkers won the next night on RAW.

Summerslam '94- The Bam Bam Bigelow/Irwin R. Schyster vs. The Headshrinkers match was originally supposed to be a tag team title match, but the Headshrinkers dropped the titles the night before to Shawn Michaels and Diesel. Samu was planning on leaving the WWF soon, so McMahon didn't know if he could continue having The Headshrinkers as tag team champions if he couldn't find anybody for Fatu to team with. In the meantime, he had Michaels/Diesel win the titles while he could figure out what to do. He eventually signed Sionne as the new Headshrinker (formerly the Barbarian). Also, McMahon was apparently so upset with the performance of Brian Lee (the evil Undertaker) that he fired him (the match was pretty bad, but I don't think that Lee should have been fired over it).

Survivor Series '94- Bret Hart dropped the World Title to Bob Backlund because he wanted to take a month off to spend time with his family. Yokozuna jobbed to the Undertaker in the casket match so that he could supposedly take time off to lose weight (he didn't appear to be that much lighter when he returned at Wrestlemania though).

Royal Rumble '95- When the 1-2-3 Kid and Bob "Spark Plugg" Holly were put into the tag team title match against Bam Bam Bigelow and Tatanka, they were replaced in the Rumble match by the Heavenly Bodies (Tom Prichard + Jimmy Del Ray). Jim Neidhart left the WWF (for the millionth time!), and was replaced by Rick "The Model" Martel.

King of The Ring '95- Savio Vega was entered into the King of The Ring tournament after defeating Irwin R. Schyster in a qualifying match. This qualifying match was to fill a vacancy left by Razor Ramon (who had injured ribs).

In Your House 2- After The Roadie cost Jarrett the Intercontinental title, a feud was supposed to be set up between Jeff Jarrett and The Roadie. Once the WWF started talking about Jarrett lip-synching "With My Baby Tonight", Jarrett got upset and left the WWF. Jarrett was apparently upset that an angle was going to be pushed implying that he can't sing. Jarrett is actually a very good singer in real life.

Summerslam 95- Psycho Sid was originally scheduled to face Shawn Michaels for the Intercontinental title, but Gorilla Monsoon changed Shawn's opponent to Razor Ramon.

In Your House 3- Owen Hart didn't show up on time because he was with his wife at the hospital. She was in the process of delivering the couple's second child.

In Your House 4- The report from the WWF was that Shawn Michaels could not wrestle due to injuries suffered in a beating by a group of Marines outside a bar in Syracuse, New York. This is partly true. Shawn Michaels was hurting quite a bit, but he was actually cleared to wrestle by his doctor. He didn't wrestle due to an altercation with Dean Douglas in a locker room, a few days before the event. Douglas and Michaels apparently do not get along in real life. Michaels was joking around in the locker room telling other wrestlers that he was going to do something that would embarrass Douglas at In Your House (something that wasn't planned). Word got around to Douglas, and he confronted Michaels. Douglas was apparently fuming mad, and told Michaels that if he tried it, that he would end up back in the hospital. Douglas didn't think that Michaels' joke was funny whatsoever and kept threatening him. Michaels ended up going to McMahon and saying that he didn't feel up to wrestling. McMahon let him forfeit the title. I don't find this very hard to believe for a few reasons. Number one, Shane Douglas wrestled in ECW before his second stint in the WWF. That alone should tell you that Douglas isn't afraid to hit somebody. Number two, I have read numerous interviews with WWF current stars, and former stars, and almost all of them agree that Shawn Michaels is a real life, whining, wimp.

Survivor Series '95- The 1-2-3 Kid replaced Jean Pierre Lafitte on the Bodydonna team. Lafitte actually had had a hernia operation. Bob "Spark Plugg" Holly replaced Avatar on the Underdog team. Also, I think you included Bob Holly in the Women's survival match by accident. (Whoops. Seems so. Must've seriously read wrong in my papers) An accident is an accident, but when I saw this for the first time I thought it was absolutely hilarious. Dean Douglas was eliminated from the wildcard match rather quickly for two reasons. Number one, he had a back-neck injury. Number two, I don't believe he was ever in the ring with Shawn Michaels. This was to avoid a real altercation between the two.

In Your House 5- Buddy Landell substituted for Dean Douglas in a match against Ahmed Johnson. Dean Douglas had a back-neck injury, which was why he couldn't wrestle. This was also a reason why he was eliminated so quickly at the Survivor Series (mentioned above).

Royal Rumble '96- Some of the other people that were asked to participate in the Royal Rumble were The Ultimate Warrior, Dan Severn (an Ultimate Fighting contender), Peter McNeeley (that dumb guy that Mike Tyson knocked out in the first round of Tyson's return), Rick "The Model" Martel, and Sabu. Sabu apparently had even set up his own elimination. Before withdrawing his name from the Rumble, he had decided that he was going to eliminate an opponent, slide under the bottom rope, and place the opponent on a table. He was planning to sprint across the ring, do a moonsault over the top rope, and smash the opponent through the table. Crazy? Yes, but if you have seen Sabu wrestle, you'll know that this is nothing new.

Wrestlemania 12- Goldust was originally supposed to wrestle Razor Ramon in the Hollywood Backlot Brawl, but Razor was upset with the entire Goldust angle, felt badly misused by the World Wrestling Federation, and wouldn't agree to do the brawl. He was replaced by Rowdy Roddy Piper.

In Your House 7- The Bulldog/Owen Hart vs. Jake The Snake/Ahmed match was originally scheduled as The British Bulldog vs. Jake "The Snake" Roberts. Why they changed this, I have no idea. Vince McMahon was apparently very upset with Diesel for jacknifing Shawn Michaels through the announcer's table.

In Your House 8 + King of The Ring '96- Apparently, the entire angle regarding Shawn Michaels having an affair with Diana Smith (Davey Boy Smith's wife) was actually Diana's idea. She had to lose some weight and lighten her hair in order for the angle to work.

In Your House 9- Sid replaced The Ultimate Warrior on Shawn and Ahmed's team. The Warrior's father had died, which was why he didn't appear at a number of live shows. McMahon hadn't been pleased with the Warrior's performance for the money that he was paying him, so not showing up just led McMahon to fire him. Henry Godwinn replaced Jake "The Snake" Roberts in the match against Mankind.

Summerslam '96- Zip (Tom Prichard) wrestled for the Bodydonnas even though both of them were there. They were eliminated first since Skip (Chris Candido) had a neck injury and was wearing a neckbrace. Ahmed Johnson actually had a kidney problem (which had nothing to do with Faarooq Assad attacking him), so that match against Faarooq was cancelled.

In Your House 10- The interference by The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, and Paul E. Dangerously of ECW during the Vega/Bradshaw strap match was not likely a one-time thing. I'm pretty sure that McMahon and Dangerously are actually waiting for just the right time to create the angle.

In Your House 11- Sid beat Vader because Vader had an injured foot. Hunter Hearst Helmsley replaced Savio Vega in the match against "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Goldust replaced Faarooq Assad in the match against "Wildman" Marc Mero. Ahmed Johnson had hit Faarooq with a wooden board before the match, so Faarooq couldn't wrestle.

Survivor Series '96- Jake "The Snake" Roberts replaced Mark Henry (he injured his leg and could not compete).

In Your House XIII: The Final Four- Bart Gunn replaced Ahmed Johnson on the Flash Funk/Goldust team due to Johnson's severely infected arm.

In Your House XIV: Revenge of the Taker- Steve Austin replaced Psycho Sid in the match against Bret Hart.

King of the Ring '97- Bret Hart was originally supposed to wrestle Shawn Michaels, but due to a knee injury, Bret was left off the card, and replaced by Steve Austin.

In Your House XVI: Canadian Stampede- The Undertaker was scheduled to wrestle Ahmed Johnson, but when Ahmed got injured for the millionth time, Vader was put in as a replacement.

Summerslam '97: Hart and Soul- There was originally another stipulation for the Hart Foundation members. If any one of the Hart Foundation members (Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Davey Boy Smith, or Brian Pillman) lost his respective match, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart was going to shave off his goatee during the RAW the following night. Unfortunately, the stipulation was dropped when Jim Neidhart left the WWF temporarily to finish wrestling his independent circuit contract.

In Your House XVIII: Badd Blood- The card originally included Goldust vs. Brian Pillman, but since Brian Pillman was found dead early that morning, the match was scratched. The substitution match was the Los Boricuas vs. The DOA. Also, Ken Shamrock was injured, and a suitable replacement couldn't be found, so the Nation of Domination wrestled the Legion of Doom in a handicap match.

Survivor Series '97- The Patriot was supposed to be on Team USA, but tore his tricep in a match with Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart and was replaced by Steve Blackman.

Royal Rumble '98- The wrestler who did not enter the ring when the buzzer went off was Skull of the DOA. Since everyone was gunning for Steve Austin, the Los Boricuas attacked Skull in the dressing room, thinking he was Steve Austin (since they both look the same from the back). The Quebecers were scratched from the Royal Rumble at the last minute when the WWF decided to have Mick Foley wrestle as Dude Love and Mankind, in addition to Cactus Jack.

In Your House XX: No Way out of Texas- Savio Vega replaced Shawn Michaels, who was injured.
